Neoprene Sheet 4 mm with 2 insertions (Width 140 cm)

The Neoprene rubber sheet 4mm with 2 insertions/plies (Width 140 cm) is a versatile rubber material known for its excellent mechanical and elastic properties. In addition to its durability, this material offers considerable resistance to a wide range of substances. Neoprene rubber is particularly valued for its good salt water resistance. Fun fact: Neoprene was the first synthetic rubber, created in the 1930s, and belongs to the chloroprene family.

Uses of the Neoprene Rubber Sheet 4 mm with 2 plies (Width 140 cm)

The Neoprene Sheet 4 mm (Width 140 cm) is resistant to heat, temperature changes, ozone, and weather conditions, and it adheres well to metal. CR rubber sheeting is commonly used for flange gaskets, strips, and in shipbuilding. However, Neoprene is not recommended for applications involving petrol or hydraulic phosphates, where Nitrile and FKM rubber products would be a better choice.

Neoprene products offer good elasticity, particularly when exposed to heat. They also provide moderate resistance to oils and acids. However, we advise against repeated use in contact with hydrocarbons or similar solvents.

Neoprene rubber is available in sheets, plates, strips, and even foam. It is an ideal elastomer for sealing and compatibility with metals. A common application of Neoprene is as a gasket, frequently used as a sealing gasket in construction and industry.

The 2 plies serve to increase the strength and durability of the material, allowing it to better resist persistent wear. The insertion reduces the elasticity of the material and helps the gasket hold it's shape

Note: When selecting the appropriate rubber quality, always consider the environment in which the product will be used and the specific requirements it must meet. If in doubt, please contact our customer service at any time.
