SBR
SBR rubber sheeting
SBR rubber is a universal rubber used in construction, shipping, industry and car manufacturing. SBR rubber can also be used for a variety of other applications by cutting it into strips, joints or rings. SBR stands for Styrene Butadiene Rubber. SBR rubber is therefore a copolymer of butadiene and styrene, i.e. an artificial rubber. It is often used instead of natural rubber for its advantageous properties and price.

SBR Rubber
SBR rubber is suitable for various industrial, mechanical, infrastructure, and automotive applications. SBR rubber sheets help prevent leaks, reduce airflow, and provide vibration soundproofing.
Uses of SBR Rubber
SBR rubber exhibits excellent mechanical properties, low compression set, and high resilience. However, these sheets are not recommended for use in wet areas or where they may come into contact with oils and hydrocarbons. SBR rubber complements silicone rubber, which offers better resistance to liquids.
SBR rubber provides great abrasion, tear, and impact resistance. Products made from SBR rubber are ideal for protecting pipes from external impacts, packaging, and many other functions. They are available in sheets, strips, and, less commonly, foam.
When selecting the appropriate rubber quality, always consider the environment where the product will be used and the specific requirements it must meet. If in doubt, please contact our customer service team at any time.
If you need custom dimensions, we offer a bespoke cutting service. Please keep in mind the maximum roll length of the product. For a personalised quote, please contact our customer service department. For detailed technical data such as maximum length, width, and temperature range, see the section below.
Characteristics of SBR Products
SBR rubber has numerous excellent mechanical properties. It has a low compression set and high resilience. It can withstand temperatures between -20°C and +70°C, making it suitable for insulation, cushioning, and shock absorption. The sheets are resistant to acids and salts but are not recommended for use with oils and hydrocarbons.
